February" program finds the conductionist milking
magic from a large ensemble curated by Sex Mob drummer
Kenny Wollesen, who himself has lifted everyone from
Bill Frisell to Jesse Harris. Banking everything on
improv savvy and a refined system of gestures, the
boss coaxes abstract funk-prov from his ad hoc
charges.
The performance was great as it went along except the begining i thought i was in an elephant casstle during their mating season. I was amazed that the whole thing happened in spontanous and improvision. I heard it for the first time as it was conducted. no edit no rehearsal . Mr Butch is somethingelse....
